Department of Education, PhD Student

My name is William (he/him/his), and I am a doctoral student in the Culture, Curriculum, and Teacher Education Program at the School of Education at UNC-Chapel Hill. My research interests include critical pedagogy and improving issues of inclusivity and access in experiential education and international education. I earned my Master of Elementary Education (M.Ed.) from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, while working as a teacher at a St. Louis Language Immersion School. I am also an alumnus of Teach for America (TFA) and worked for Fulbright Taiwan.  In my free time, I enjoy leading backpacking trips as an Expedition Leader with the Outdoor Education Center at UNC-Chapel Hill and studying Mandarin Chinese.
